Judith A. Gish, 71, of Bluffton, died at 12:04 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, at her residence with her family. Mrs. Gish was born on Dec. 21, 1939, to Robert and Ellen (Bennett) Guthrie. She married Joseph "Joe" Gish on June 16, 1990; he preceded her in death on June 17, 2010. A 1957 graduate of Bluffton High School, Mrs. Gish worked as a bookkeeper for Hulcher Services in Bluffton, along with various other companies for many years. She retired from Kitco in Bluffton after 10 years of service. She was a member of Park United Brethren Church. Judy was a talented seamstress and enjoyed crocheting, gardening and oil painting. She was a true joy to others and will be remembered for her loving smile. Surviving relatives include four children, Tony Harris of Columbus, Ohio, Pam Baker of Corpus Christy, Texas, Kim Harris of Lakewood, Colo., and Joe F. Gish of Lima, Ohio; one sister, Janice Hahn of Bluffton; and 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be from 10 to noon Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Thoma/Rich, Chaney and Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton. Funeral services will be at noon, Saturday, at the funeral home with Pastor John Cole officiating. Burial is at Six Mile Cemetery, in Bluffton. Preferred memorials are to Park United Brethren Church.
