Elizabeth Allen Love came to Texas with the A. C. Allen family from New York (according to William Bibb Royall in 1883 letter). She was living in Houston, Texas, when she met R. R. Royall.

When Elizabeth Allen Love married R. R. Royall on 3 January 1839, she became the stepmother to six children ranging in age from 7 to 17 years. In one short year, she would be their only parent. William Bibb, who was 15 years old at the time of his father's death wrote years later in his letter of August 6, 1883 the following in reference to his stepmother: "We all loved her as though she were our own mother." Elizabeth Love Royall also saved all of Capt. Royall's official letters &/or copies and made them available for the state archives. She did well for a twenty year old.

Elizabeth and R. R. Royall did have one daughter who died in childhood. Her name was Elizabeth B. Royall. She was born in 1840 and died in 1850.

William Bibb Royall, in his letter of 6 Aug. 1883, wrote that Elizabeth Allen Love Royall did marry again. The second time she married Mr. James H. Denison on 2 April 1848. She and James had three children who were Alice, Mary and Joseph. Mary did not survive infancy. Elizabeth's husband James became a Texas Supreme Court Justice in 1870. With her second husband's death, she moved to Chicago, Illinois. Her final years were spent in New York City with family. Her death was noted in a listing from Manhattan Borough as occurring in New York City. She was most likely buried in that area.
