Vivian Margaret Hatcher
HATCHER, Vivian Margaret – Age 86 of Roseburg, passed away Saturday, October 4, 1997 in a local care center. She was born July 20, 1909 in Portland, Oregon to Fred and Louise (Wendorf) Bauer. She grew up and attended school in Portland and lived in Douglas County since 1943. She married Otis M. Hatcher in Roseburg. Mrs Hatcher was a devoted mother and an avid homemaker, enjoying crocheting and reading. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Myrtle Creek for many years. She is survived by her daughters; Melva Jean Benedict of Wickenberg, Arizona, Norma Rae Martin of Lilliwaup, Washington, and Roberta Louise Stumbo of Winchester, Oregon; step-children, Paul Hatcher of Salem, Oregon and Mary Jane Hatcher of Edmonds, Washington; and 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her previous husband Raymond W. John and her husband Otis M. Hatcher in 1983. Graveside services will be held Friday, October 10, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Roseburg National Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the charity of their choice. Services are under the direction of WILSON' CHAPEL OF THE ROSES.
