Funeral services for Mike Phillip Ledwig, 77, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2000 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wadsworth with Father Casimir Jarzombek officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Van Vleck. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wadsworth.
Mike died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000. He was born on May 6, 1922 in Arnecekville, DeWitt County, Texas to Frank and Julia Hahn Ledwig. He was a resident of Wadsworth since 1948 where he farmed until his retirement.
Survivors include: sons and daughter-in-law; Michael Leon and Mary Louise Ledwig of Wadsworth, Dewayne and Nancy Ledwig of Tillar, Ariz; daughter, Joyce and Cliff Leinberger of Houston; seven grandchildren: Michael James Ledwig of Wadsworth, Kenny and Krynn Ledwig of Bryan, Melanie Ledwig and Melinda Ledwig of College Station, Miles and Sonja Ledwig of Bay City, Jarrett and Tammy Rogers of Houston, and Tanya and Rick Fugua of Houston; four great-grandchildren, Kacey Lee Ledwig, Dayne Ledwig, Parker and Colten Rogers; sisters, Margaret Meador, Bernice Davis, and Elizabeth Ledwig; brothers, Alois Ledwig, Ignatz Joe Ledwig, Julius Ledwig, Henry Ledwig, Joe Ledwig, and Milton Ledwig.
He was preceded in death by his wife Polly Allen Ledwig; parents Frank and Julia Ledwig; brothers Leo Frank Ledwig and Stanley Ledwig.
Pallbearers will be nephews: Otha Meador Jr., Donny McCabe, Ignatz Joe Ledwig Jr., Scott Ledwig, Julius (Jay) Ledwig, and Donald Ray Ledwig.
