Anne Ethel Marietti

Anne Ethel Marietti, 89, of Green River, passed away Dec. 16, 2010, at the Castle Rock Convelescent Center.

She was born on March 5, 1921, in Frankford,Ill., the daughter of the late John and Anna Sever Shiflar.

She attended schools in RockSpirngs and was a Rock Springs High School graduate. She also attended and graduated from beauty college.

She married Leno Marietti in 1941 in Rock Springs, and he preceded her in death on July 26, 1985.

Her interests included dancing, bowling and bingo. She also enjoyed traveling to Wendover with her sisters.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community.

Survivors include one son, Don Marietti of Costa Mesa, Calif.; one brother Frank Shiflar and wife Helen of Sandy, Utah; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sylvia and Dean Flynn and husband Dean of Salt Lake City, and Virginia and Don Orester of Rock Springs; one sister-in-law, Irene Shiflar of Green River; one granddaughter, Jeanine Marietti of Anaheim, Calif.; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers, Albin Shiflar, John Shiflar, Andy Shiflar and Rudy Shiflar; and one sister, Chrissie Jelosek.

Following cremation, a memorial service is planned in the spring.
