Jerry William Ledbetter, 69, of Hendersonville, died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at his residence.
A native of Rutherfordton County, he was the son of the late, Albert & Floy Wilson Ledbetter. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Boyce and James Ledbetter.
He served in the US Air Force; and retired from General Electric after 32 ½ years of service. He attended Agape Christian Church COGIC. He loved to draw and was an avid painter. He loved his Lord and his family; and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all.
His is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sharon Sain Ledbetter; a son, James Darrick Ledbetter of Dallas, TX; a daughter, Kimberly Ledbetter Stepp and her husband Bill of Hendersonville; two grandchildren, Noah William Stepp of Hendersonville and Bradi Rebecca Ledbetter of Dallas, TX; one brother, Donald Ledbetter and his wife Geraldine of Travelers Rest, SC; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Thos. Shepherd's Church Street Chapel with Elder John W. Gary officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September, 20, 2011 at the funeral home.
