M. Cody Garrett
M. Cody Garrett, of Caldwell, passed away of natural causes Sunday, Feb 1, 2004, at Midland Health and rehab, Nampa. He was surrounded by his beloved family. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Friends may cal from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, interment will follow at the Middleton Cemetery.
Cody was born at Clarksville, Ark. on June 10, 1913, a son of Alva Lee and Mary Frances Little Garrett. The family moved to Idaho in 1916. Cody's occupations included mining, railroad and farming. He retired from the Black Canyon District in 1978 after 20 years as a ditch rider. After retiring he was a very active volunteer for the R.S.V.P. In his early years Cody was an avid hunter and fisherman, after retirement he enjoyed fishing mostly. Cody was every active member of the Middleton Grange be 60 years. He was a member of First Christian Church in Caldwell since 1958.
Cody is preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Virginia May in 1980, and his last wife, Mary Boyles Garrett in 1997; brothers, Robert, Elihu, Colby, Thomas Andy; an infant granddaughter, Brenda Lee in 1973, and a son-in-law Karl R. Kieselhorst in 1997.

He is survived by a brother, Alva Lee Garrett and wife, Thelma of MiddIeton; daughters, Donna Faye Anderson and husband Daryl of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Aileen Kieslhorst of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Linda Schoenwald and husband H. Doug of Beaverton, OR. Deanna K. Garrett of Ohatchee, AL; grandchildren, Marilyn Garrett of Nampa, Tem Takashige of Martinez, CA, Cody Kieselhorst of Caldwell, Mike Schoenwald of Caldwell, Donna Faye Graham of Pell City, AL, Bill Voiles of Pell City, AL and Scott Voiles of Pell City, AL; great-grandchildren, Jamie, J.R., Trevor, Danie, Johnathon, Andrew and Samantha; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
