"Vivian Klein, 79, Eckelson, ND, died Friday, September 22, 2000, at Mercy Hospital, Valley City, ND.
Vivian Hass was born February 15, 1921, at Sanborn, ND, the daughter of John and Hattie (Schaffer) Hass. She grew up and lived in the Sanborn area and attended schools in Anderson Township and Fried, ND. She married Vernon "Skip" Klein November 20, 1939. The couple lived and farmed near Eckelson. He died in 1997. She was honored by Sacred Heart Parish Circle Three as a charter member with more than 55 years of service.
She is survived by two daughters, Patty (Marlowe) Kluksdahl, Oak Harbor, WA; and Carol (Tom) Grieve, Harwood, ND; two sons, Alan (Susan), Fargo, ND; and Steve, Valley City; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Gerald; two brothers, and four sisters.
Services: 10:30 am Tuesday, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sanborn, with the Rev. Matthew Attansey and Deacon Eugene Klein officiating.
Prayer Service: 7 pm today at the church
Visitation: 10 am to 5 pm today, Peterson-Johnson-Schuldt Funeral Home, Valley City, and one hour before the prayer service and funeral service at the church.
Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Sanborn.
