By 1918, Felix and Mabel resided in Tulsa County, Oklahoma where Felix enlisted for military service during World War I. At the time of his registration, records indicate he was employed by Frisco Railroad as a switch operator.

Felix later married Ola Mae Stegall Hallum. They resided in Red Fork, Tulsa County, Oklahoma. Felix and Ola are both buried at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Tulsa.
