Esta Linnstaedter, 93, of China Spring, passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2011. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Fiske officiating.

Esta was born in Stockdale, Texas, to the late Charles and Annie Bohmann. She received her Bachelor's degree from Southwest Texas State Teachers College in San Marcos, Texas. She taught in National Youth Administration Centers and taught most of her 29 years of teaching in the Waco public schools. Esta spent several years volunteering at Providence Hospital. She also enjoyed tutoring children at her home for many years, after retiring from teaching in public schools. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and served in various capacities of the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz Linnstaedter.

She is survived by a daughter, LaNelle McNamara; son, Don Linnstaedter; grandson, Jeff Linnstaedter and wife, Dorie; great-grandson, Grant Linnstaedter; great-granddaughter, Jordyn Linnstaedter; sister-in-law, Bernadine Cooper; nephews, Robert Bohmann and Gene Apple; and nieces, Sandra Debner, Carole Reed and Connie Pressler.
