FRANK FELDER CALLED BY DEATH SATURDAY
WAS PAST 53 YEARS OLD
FUNERAL HELD MONDAY MORNING

Frank Felder, a long-time resident of Guttenberg, passed away at his home in this city on Saturday morning, May 19, 1928, at the age of 53 years, 6 months and 20 days, after an illness of a long duration.

Deceased was born at Glen Haven, Wis., on October 29, 1874, later coming to Guttenberg to reside, where the remainder of his life was spent. On June 10, 1902, he was united in marriage with Miss Anna Voss at Guttenberg, Iowa. He was a faithful member of the Catholic church. During his illness he was a patient sufferer. All was done for him that could be done to save his life, but all to no avail.

His death is deeply mourned by his wife, eight children, Mrs. Albert Schmelzer, of Jefferson township, Evelyn, Richard, Anthony, Leonette, Lavern, Aloysius and Anna May Felder, all at home; five brothers, Peter and William Felder, of Glen Haven, Wis., Joseph Felder, of Guttenberg, John Felder, of Ipswich, South Dakota, and Henry Heitman, of Guttenberg; four sisters, Mrs. Susie Stoeffler and Miss Tillie Felder, of Guttenberg, Mrs. Anna Kirschbaum, of Colesburg, and Mrs. Mary Hampton, of Glen Haven, Wis., and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in this city on Monday morning, Rev. Joseph Dupont officiating. The body was laid to rest in Mt. Olivet cemetery. The funeral was largely attended by relatives and friends from far and near.

The family has the sympathy of all in this community.

Hochhausen, son, Peter and daughter, Mae, Mr. and Mrs. Will Ackerman and Mrs. K. Rau, all of Glen Haven, Wisconsin; Casper Westemeier, son Leo and daughter Marie, of Dyersville; Mrs. Anna Kirschbaum, of Colesburg; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kirschbaum and Mrs. J. Powers, of McGregor; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Voss, of Garber; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Egleseder, Henry Egleseder, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schmelzer, Mrs. Otto Schmelzer and Harry Schmelzer, of Garnavillo.
