SAVANNA — Funeral service for Alfred Klein of Savanna was held today in Law-Jones Funeral Home here. The Rev. Robert Stephenson, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiated. Burial was in Savanna Township Cemetery. Mr. Klein, a maintenance man at Savanna Army Depot for 29 years and a World War II veteran, died Friday in Veterans Administration Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa. He was born Aug. 16, 1913, in Bellevue, Iowa, son of Henry and Margaret (Jung) Klein. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lanny (Lois) Kulbe of Savanna; three grandchildren; and a brother, Julius of Savanna.
