FORMER BELLEVILLE MAN DROPPED DEAD ON ST. LOUIS STREET
"John Wendel Stauder a former resident of this city dropped dead on Thomas Street, near his home Wednesday, aged 57 years. He was a native of Belleville, but had been living with his family at 3126 Thomas Street, St. Louis for several years.

"He is survived by his widow nee Miss Rosie Lilly and these children: Roy, Joseph, Edwin, Cecelia, Myrtle and Viola Stauder. He also leaves his mother Mrs. Mary Stauder of 212 West First Street, his brother Jacob Stauder of Belleville and Anna Stauder of Fordville, Illinois, his sisters: Mary wife of John Rensing and Katie wife of Edward J. Faultus all of Belleville.

"He was a member of St. Mary's branch #59 of the Western Catholic Union.

"The deceased was for many years an employee of the Gundloch Drill Works in this city.

"The arangements for the funeral have not been completed."
