Surviving are a son, Stephen, Columbus; a daughter, Christine Kiene, Maumee; and a sister, Octavia (George) Grone, Delphos.
Deceased are a son, David Kiene; and three brothers, Francis (Sharon), Arthur and Lawrence.
He retired in 1999 from the Ohio Department of Transportation. He was a dedicated member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, where he was a Eucharistic minister and took over maintenance of the church after his retirement. He and his wife taught CCD classes at St. John the Baptist Church, Glandorf, for several years. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1757, Ottawa.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating.
