Grace Louise (Gordon) Geiling, 85, of Carlisle died Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Thornwald Home. She was born on Thursday, April 8, 1926 in Wilna, MD the daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Carlisle) Gordon. Grace was the widow of Richard Martin Geiling, to whom she was married for 63 years.
Grace was a life-long member of Silver Spring Presbyterian Church, Mechanicsburg. She enjoyed the hobby of collecting and was an avid collector of stamps, coins, and dolls. Grace was a loving mother and grandmother.
Grace's survivors include her loving sons: Richard M Geiling, Jr. of Boiling Springs, James M Geiling and wife Jeanne of Mechanicsburg; eight grandchildren: Robyn Shaffer, Richard M Geiling III, John Geiling, Megan Geiling, Jamie Geiling, Richard Scott Diehl, Timothy Geiling, Brian Zentmyer; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Grace is preceded in death by her husband: Richard Martin Geiling; her daughter: Nancy C Diehl; and her siblings: James Gordon, Lillian Gentile, Gladys Edward, Anna Mae Jenkins, Betty Gordon, and her twin brother Pete Gordon.
All are welcome to join Grace's family at her viewing on Monday, October 10th, from 9:30 a.m., until time of service at 10:30 a.m., at Silver Spring Presbyterian Church, Mechanicsburg with Reverend Donald Steele, officiating. Burial will immediately follow in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Enola.
