Mary Jo Wright, 82, passed away peacefully at home on January 29, 2007. She was born on March 9, 1924 to Louis and Honor Ingerman in Cambridge City, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James B. Wright.
Mary Jo served in the military for 7 years during World War II as a Navy WAVE and moved to the beaches in 1955. She retired from the Florida Publishing Company. She leaves to cherish her memories: her children Sara (Sheldon) Goldberg of Clearwater, Florida, Barbara (Richard) Levine of Los Angeles, California, Kathleen (David) Pearcy of Jacksonville, Florida, James (Theresa) Wright of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Julie (David) Teate of Jacksonville Beach, Nancy (Dale) Maloy of Jacksonville Beach; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren that will greatly miss their mema. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 1st in Quinn-Shalz, A Family Funeral Home, with a Prayer Vigil at 7:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 2nd in St. Paul's Catholic Church of Jacksonville Beach with The Reverend William Kelly as Celebrant. Interment will follow in H. Warren Smith Cemetery of Jacksonville Beach. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Diabetes Association, Jacksonville, Florida.
