Remsen Pioneer Taken By Death
Mrs. Anna Pick Dies After a Lingering Illness
Mrs. Anna Pick, well-known resident of Remsen, Iowa, died Monday at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Le Mars. She had been in poor health for some time. Mrs. Pick had lived in the Remsen vicinity 42 years.
Mrs. Pick was born on a farm near the town of New Vienna, Iowa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Willenburg, who were pioneer residents of that vicinity.
She is survived by eight children, who were Anton Pick, Remsen; Ollie Pick, Remsen; Mrs. Ray Smith, Hopkington, Iowa; Mrs. Alt Johnson, Kingsley, Iowa; Arthur Pick, Le Mars; Gregory Pick, Remsen; Alphonse Pick, Remsen; and Mrs. Eugene Poeckes, Remsen.
The funeral will be held this Friday morning at St. Mary's Church in Remsen.
