Bud Moeding Dies Saturday
Darrell (Bud) Clark Moeding, 43, Spencer, died at 11:30 p.m. Jan. 22, 1972, at his home in Spencer from a heart attack.

Moeding was born Dec. 9, 1928, at Algona to Mr. and Mrs. William Moeding. He was educated at Luverne schools and attended Iowa State Teachers College for three years.

On July 13, 1950, he was married to Evelyn Hanson at Des Moines.

Moeding worked for Tobin Meat Packing Co. in Fort Dodge and in 1953 began work for Leighton Supply Co. in Fort Dodge. They moved to Estherville in 1959 and to Spencer in August 1971.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, Spencer; one son, Dana, a student at ILCC at Estherville; and three daughters, twins Debra and Diane, Estherville, and Margaret, at home; his grandmother, Mrs. Emma Moeding, Humboldt; and one sister, Mrs. Frank (Margaret) Whitely, Palatine, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services are tentatively set for Wednesday.

Visitation will be after 7 p.m. at Reese-Henry Funeral Home in Estherville. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 24, 1972)


Rites Wednesday for Bud Moeding
A Bible Vigil for Darrell "Bud" Moeding, 43, will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Reese-Henry Funeral Chapel. Funeral services for Darrell "Bud" Moeding, Spencer, formerly Estherville, will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call at Reese-Henry until noon Wednesday.
