James Angst passed away Oct. 31, 2008 at home. Age 71 years. He was born on January 30, 1937 in Maple Grove Township, the son of Alphonse and Clara (Ebenhoeh) Angst. Jim attended Ties South in Maple Grove and has participated in the Special Olympics. Jim was dearly loved by his family. Surviving are two sisters, Eileen Eldridge, of Owosso; Madeline Sumbera, of Rose City; sister in-law, Ruth Ann (Angst) & Fred Toma, of Chesaning; brother in-law, Donald Frelitz, of Chesaning, with whom Jim made his home. Also many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Frelitz and brothers, Harold, Irwin, and Kenneth, sister-in-laws, Yvonne Angst, brothers-in-laws, Al Eldridge and John Sumbera. Funeral Liturgy will be held Monday at 11:00am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Fr. T.J. Flemming will officiate with burial in St. Michaels Cemetery, Maple Grove. Friends may call at the Walker-Martin Funeral Home, Chesaning on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00pm and Sunday from 12:00 noon until 8:00pm and at church on Monday after 10:00am. Vigil service will be at 7:00pm Sunday. Memorials are suggested to the Special Olympics.
