Clark's Hill, February 12 - Mrs. Henry (Flauding) Downing, 83, died in her home on R#1 at 5 a.m. today. She was born near Bryant, in Jay county. Mrs. Downing was married to Henry Downing, January 10, 1889. She was a member of the Christian church here. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Floyd Davis and Mrs. Frank Hanson, Lafayette; a son, Volley Downing, near Clark's Hill; a sister, Mrs. Anna Pauley, Rock Island, Illinois; and a half-brother; Oscar Flauding. Funeral services at 2 a.m. Sunday in the Christian church at Clark's Hill, with Roy Lennard Bertelson in charge. Burial in Union cemetery, Clark's Hill. Dickerson funeral home in charge.
