He was a graduate of Sikeston High School where he participated in football and recieved honorable mention as an all-state player.
He graduated in 1972 from Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn., and in 1976 from medical school at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
He practiced medicine as an ear, nose and throat surgeon in Cape Guirardeau for a year and in Sikeston for the past 16 years. He served as assistant chief of staff for one year at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he was involved in missionary work. He served in leadership positions as branch president, biship, president of the Cape Girardeau stake, ward mission leader, stake missionary and stake high council.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, C. Edward Felker IV and Andrew Sargent Felker; five daughters, Jessica Michelle Felker Carle; Jan Ellen Felker Sanders, Kathryn "Katie" Felker, Colton Felker and Mary Caroline Felker; a brother, John Russell Felker Jr.; two sisters, JoEllen Lewis and Jane Ann Nowell and one grandchild.
Funeral service will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
