Hilary Schneider
Hilary "Larry" Schneider, 83, of St. Charles, died Sunday (Sept. 12, 2004) at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles. Mr. Schneider was a retired milkman for St. Charles Dairy, where he had worked for more than 20 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy from 1942 to 1945. He was a member of American Legion Post 312, VFW Post 2866, where he was past post commander, and St. Cletus Catholic Church, all in St. Charles. Visitation is scheduled from 3 to 8 p.m. with an American Legion Post service at 7 p.m. today at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at Baue. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, 2700 West Clay Street. Among the survivors are his wife, Josephine "Joey" Schneider of St. Charles; three daughters, Diane Krause of St. Peters, Carol Peyton of O'Fallon and Sherry Ash of St. Charles; six brothers, Andy Schneider, Norbert Schneider and Joe Schneider, all of St. Charles, Harry Schneider of Carroll County, Iowa, Paul Schneider of St. Paul and Art Schneider of New Melle; and a grandchild. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, Mo. 63301.
