George Alles of Saginaw passed away 8:50 a.m. Saturday August 3, 1974, at St. Luke's Hospital. Age 73 years. He was born March 7, 1901 in Russia coming to the United States when a child. He married Mary Balzer April 3, 1921. She passed away in 1941. He then married Katherine Manweiler October 13, 1942. She predeceased him in 1959. He then married Marguerite Garchow, March 4, 1960. She survives him. He was a member of St. John's Evangilical Lutheran Church. Prior to his retirement in 1967, he had been employed at Morley Brothers for over 40 years. Surviving besides his wife are four sons and one daughter, Raymond F., Elmer A., Ronald D., and Jerry G. Alles and Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Terrian, all of Saginaw; eight grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers, Carl and Reinhold Alles and Mrs. John Ruppel, Mrs. Edna Hoffman, all of Saginaw; Mrs. Molly Deering, Pigeon; Mrs. Harold Lewandowski, Bay City; many step-children...burial in Holy Cross Cemetery...
