Opha Marie Stephens, 86 of Greenfield, Indiana died Sunday, September 11, 2005 at Morristown, Indiana.
Born March 17, 1919 in Pike County, Indiana, Mrs. Stephens was the daughter of Henry and Laura (Allstadt) Price. She married Ishmael Stephens of Greenfield, Indiana on May 5, 1936.
She was a homemaker. A former member of Mt. Lebanon U.M.C. and currently a member of Glezen General Baptist Church, Petersburg, Indiana, she taught adult Bible School at both churches. She was an avid gardener, loved birds, the outdoors and enjoyed fishing with her husband.
Survivors include her husband Ishmael Stephens; son, Richard (Phyllis) Stephens of Greenfield; brother Jack Price of McKinney, TX; sisters, Lena Smith of Oakland City, IN and Dorothy Rhoades of Gray Summit, MO; grandchildren, Richard Stephens, Jr. and Felicia (Jeff) Frazier of Greenfield; great grandchildren, Cory and Jesse Stephens, Samantha, Michael (Chrissy) and Matthew Frazier, all of Greenfield.
Her parents, Henry and Laura (Allstadt) Price; brother George Price and sister, Delores Barrett preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 15, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Petersburg, Indiana with Pastor Steve Fredrick officiating. Visitation will be held at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home, Greenfield, on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hurricane Katrina Fund, c/o The Red Cross.
