DOLOROSO — Services for AEC Bromine Marain "Boo-Ban" McMorris, 39, of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Doloroso, who died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at the Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park, Fla., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Free Spring Baptist Church with the Rev. George Norflin officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery with full military honors under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. McMorris was born Sept. 9, 1970, in Natchez, the son of Gloria McMorris and James Cage. He enlisted active duty with the U.S. Navy Sept. 23, 1988. During his 21 years of service, he trained more than 3,000 sailors throughout the Navy. He was a veteran of Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Kosovo Campaign, Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. His personal awards the Navy and Marine Commendation Medal, five Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medals, as well as various Campaign and Unit Awards.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include two children, Kanecia and Brandon McMorris and their mother, Michelle; one stepdaughter, Na'Toshia Stone, all of Jacksonville; one stepson, Nicholas Anderson and his mother, Chantel; grandmother, Addie L. McMorris, all of Woodville; his mother of Natchez; two sisters, Shameka McMorris of Ferriday and Nethwa M. Wells of New Orleans; four brothers, Tracy Cage of Jackson, Michael Cage of Crosby, Michael Cage and Kevin Cage and wife, Brenna, all of Dallas; six aunts, Geraldine Knight and husband, Joe, Lily Lushaw and husband, James, and Terri Henyard, all of Woodville, Cleola Cage of New Orleans, Rose Cage of Haynesville, La., and Ida Morris of Natchez; three uncles, Chalmar R. McMorris of Woodville, Harrison Cage and wife, Barbara, of Houston, Texas and Louis Cage and wife, Inez, of Natchez; three great-aunts, Delarius Dawson and Dora Barnes, both of Natchez, and Madeline Webb of Baton Rouge; three great-uncles, Willie McMorris of Woodville, James Cage Sr., and wife, Samarita, of Baton Rouge and Clinton Webb of Centreville; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
