NEW SMYRNA BEACH - Corine E. Wingate, 89, of Robert Street, a former server in the food service industry, died Tuesday at Bert Fish Medical Center.
Mrs. Wingate was born in Cleveland and moved to this area in 2005 from Brandon. She also worked as a welder in the ship yard in Tampa during World War II. She was a member of New Smyrna Church of God. She enjoyed diving, gardening and Bible study.
Survivors include eight grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, JoAnn Sanders, New Smyrna Beach, who provided for her care. Baldwin Brothers Memorial is in charge.
