Lars Martin Edward Larsen Bomstad, son of Lars Martin Berteusen and Christiana Andreasdatter, immigrated to America with two brothers. Each brother was born with the name of Larsen but are said to have taken different surnames when settling in America. Lars took the name of his great grandfather. Lars married 7 Nov 1886 in Synnes, Minnesota to Trina Kristofferson, of Trondheim, Norway. Lars and Trina became the parents of 12 children: Carl Leonard, Hanna Christoffa, Martin Olaf, Edward Alfred, John Conrad, Hanna Christoffa, Alvin Samuel, Lydian, Emma, Ludvig Theodore, Harold Larsen and Theodore Roosevelt Larsen Bomstad. These 12 children and their descendents have settled in mainly in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Washington state but no doubt other states must be included in descendents of this large family.
