She was born February 5, 1923 in Louisville, to William and Johanna Kuhl. She grew up in St. Matthews, attended Holy Trinity and Sacred Heart Academy. She was a registered nurse and retired in 1988 as the Occupational Health Nurse for the Kentucky Industries for the Blind. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, traveling and loved to play Scrabble.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anselm.
Survivors: sons, David (Christine), of Grand Rapids, MI, Gregory, Christopher (Judy), of West Haven, CT, Thomas, Timothy (Marla) and Jonathan (Jennifer), of Crofton, MD; daughters, Martha Bohn (Charles) and Mary Williams (Charles); grandchildren, Thomas Jr., Emily, Wesley, Eric, James, Sarah, Josie, Nicholas, Michael, Marisa, Matthew, Will, Elizabeth, Anna and Ella; two great-grandchildren, Jaymes and Henry; brothers, David and William Kuhl and Jim Misner; and special caregivers, Mary and Jerry Overman.
Visitation will be at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Road, Monday, from 1-8 p.m. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the outdoor chapel near the main lake in Cave Hill Cemetery with burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph Children's Home, where she volunteered.
