Wednesday morning at the Catholic Church Carrie Niehaus was married to Frank Schwermine, Ferd Niehaus and Dora Schwermine acting as witnesses to the ceremonies. The marriage took place at 7 o'clock and Rev Father Casmir officiated.

The bride is the accomplished daughter of Jos. Niehaus and wife and has a large circle of friends. The groom is a son of Martin Schwermine and wife and is well known to all our people. He is employed as a carpenter on the Vandalia road.

After the ceremonies the bridal party went to the house of the brides parents where a wedding breakfast was served after which they drove to Effingham to take a train to St Louis where they will honeymoon.
