Maria Pina (Vieira) Leitao, 88, beloved wife of the late Domingos Vieira, died suddenly at her home on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011. Born in Galveias, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Elias and Teresa Pina Vieira. She grew up in Portugal, where she met and married her husband. She came to the United States in Buffalo, NY for a year, then moved to Peabody where she lived for the last 49 years. Maria enjoyed being at home with her family. She read every day, and enjoyed reading the Bible. She enjoyed traditional Portuguese music and dancing. She loved children was a very good caretaker. She is survived by her three sons, her two daughters, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
