Patricia Anne (Barbrick) Bauer, age 60, of Spring Lake was called home to the Lord on Saturday, November 12, 2011 after a brief and sudden illness. Patricia was born in Grand Haven on June 26, 1951 to Jack and Anne Barbrick. A lifetime resident of the Tri-Cities area, she graduated from Spring Lake High School in 1969. She married John Bauer on May 27, 1989, and they were very active in and committed to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spring Lake and to the local Knights of Columbus. She was most recently employed with Dean Transportation in Holland. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen (Barbrick) Tharp; her father, Jack; and her mother, Anne. Patricia is survived by her husband, John; brother, Donald (Arlene) Van Gelderen of Wheaton, Illinois; sister, Margaret (Kurt) Fischer of Grand Rapids; son, Erin (Patricia) Lille of Nome, Alaska; daughter, Sarah (Edward) Sadler of Hartford, Michigan; her four grandchildren: Maggie, Katie, Brody and Quentin Sadler, all of Hartford; and her much-loved nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 17, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spring Lake with Rev. Fr. Daniel DePew and Rev. Fr. Mark Bauer presiding. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Spring Lake. Interment will take place in Spring Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Patricia may be given to Love INC, Knights of Columbus or Hospice of North Ottawa Community.
