Mary E. Rill, 86, of Easton, died Saturday, May 5, 2007, at Easton Hospital, Easton. Born March 3, 1921, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Fulton Roop and Sallie Leight Roop. She was the wife of the late Charles Melvin Rill. She was a housewife and she worked in the dietary department at Black & Decker Inc. for more than 15 years. She was a member of Emory United Methodist Church, Upperco, and St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Easton. She was active in WSCS at Emory United Methodist Church and the Marion Circle at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. She volunteered at both churches. She was also a member of the Talbot Women’s Club in Easton. She was devoted to her family.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Dale Elaine Rill Rauch and Robert Rauch of Easton; son and daughter-in-law Richard Lee and Joan C. Rill of Seven Valleys, Pa.; grandchildren Kevin and Keith Rill and Casey and Dustin Rauch; great-grandchildren Julia, Kevin Jacob and Benjamin Keith Rill; brother Bill Beauchamp of Westminster; and sister Yvonne Grothe, formerly of Boring.
She was predeceased by sisters Catherine Heagerty and Ida Mae Roop. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, with the Revs. Gary Moore and Dwight Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Emory Chapel Cemetery in Upperco.
