Erwin W. Kiessling
MARSHALL - Erwin W. Kiessling, 82, of 13501 C Drive N., died Tuesday in Leila Hospital in Battle Creek. He had been ill two years and hospitalized eight weeks.
He was born in Paulding County, Ohio, and was a 50-year resident of the Marshall area. He was engaged in farming until his retirement.
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the church council for 35 years. He served in the U.S. Army in the infantry during World War I.
Surviving are his widow, Audre Kiessling; a son, Paul Kiessling of Ceresco; a sister, Mildred Blakley of Jackson; brothers, Fred Kiessling of Albion, Arnold Kiessling of Huntington, W, Va., and Carl and Edwin Kiessling, both of Marshall, three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Zion Lutheran Church.
