Sallie C. Roop, 91, of Upperco, died Tuesday morning at Carroll County General Hospital. She was a member of Emory United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Born in Carroll, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Addie Fowble Leight. She was the wife of the late Jacob F. Roop. Surviving are daughters Catherine E. Heagerty, Ida M. Roop and Mary E. Rill, all of Upperco; foster son Beverly B. Beauchamp of Puntagorda, Fla.; foster daughter Yvonne Grothe of Boring; sister Margaret E. Faulkner of Baltimore; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Eline Funeral Home in Hampstead, with the Rev. Barry Hixley, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Emory Cemetery.
