Ida Mae Roop, 84, of Easton, died Friday, April 5,2002, at Easton Memorial Hospital, Easton. Born Nov. 3,1917, in Upperco, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Fulton Roop and Sallie Leight Roop. She had been a clerk at Potlatch Corp. for 45 years. She was a member of Emory United Methodist Church and of the Women's Aid Society of the church. Surviving are sisters Mary E. Rill of Easton, Yvonne Grothe of Boring and Catherine Heagerty of Upperco; brother Bill Beauchamp of Upperco; niece Dale Rauch of Easton; nephews Glen Heagerty of Upperco and Richard Rill of Seven Valleys, Pa.; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by nephew Joseph Heagerty. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, with the Rev. Gary Moore officiating. Interment will be in Emory Cemetery, Upperco.
