William D. Lerch, of 230 Green street, died this morning in St. Joseph's Hospital, aged 72 years. He was employed as a polisher at the Penn Hardware Company for the past 50 years, and was a member of the Reformed denomination. He was also a member of the Washington Fire Company and its relief association, and the Ivy Leaf Association.
Surviving are eight children, Arthur, Paul and Daniel Lerch, Minnie, wife of Harry Kleinsmith, Mrs. Annie Stubblebine, and Florence Lerch, all of this city; Jennie, wife of Albert Ott, with whom he resided, and Mary, wife of William Johnson, of Mt. Penn; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Lutz Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Ischinger officiating. Interment in Aulenbach Cemetery.
