They had 5 children together. No one knows why John Tennison chose to use the name Dennis but his sons have followed suit in Overton County. TN. Elizabeth married #2 Edmund Lyons by 1811 in Caswell County, North Carolina. He survived her. Elizabeth and Edmund had several children together in addtion to her minor children from the Dennis marriage.
Mr. Lyons likely died in Overton County. He was last known to be living with Levi and Susan Dennis in Overton County, TN on the 1860 census. The Dennis's son, Levi H. married Rebecca Lyon as well as Levi was Harriet's stepson.
