Funeral services for Mrs. Loren (Rosella) Smith, 4 E. Douglas St., who died Monday afternoon in a local hospital, will be Thursday at 9 a.m. in the Walker Mortuary and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. C. F. Conley, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Gratiot, Wis., cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary where the Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 8 p.m. She was born March 1, 1900, at Warren, the daughter of Joseph and Fannie Gabel. She married Loren Smith July 29, 1919, at Freeport. He died Dec. 22, 1945. Survivors include five sons, Donald and Forrest, both of Freeport, and Alvin, Romaine and Ervin, all of Waukesha, Wis.; two daughters, Mrs. Herman Grabow of Winslow and Mrs. Charles Hanson of Webster City, Iowa; five brothers, George of Dubuque, Iowa, Ray of Warren, Harry of Benton, Wis., Frank of Apple River and Lawrence of Denver, Colo; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Luy of Warren, Mrs. Elizabeth Hagen of Waukesha, Mrs. Eugene Gassman of Pearl City and Mrs. Edna Donovan of Savanna; and 24 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter.
