Catherine Doris 'Nan' Kreiss, 73 of Elkton, MD, died Friday, November 11, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Baltimore, MD, on May 31, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Howard and the late Catherine (Layfield) Humphreys. She was the wife of the late William L. Kreiss, Jr. who died on April 23, 2011.

Mrs. Kreiss enjoyed collecting angels, cat statues and scrapbooking. She loved animals. Most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her children: Howard Kreiss of North East, MD, Debbie Green of North East, MD, Bob Kreiss of Elkton, MD and Cathy Finestein of FL; a brother: Robert Humphreys of Bel Air, MD; 3 grandsons: Bobby Kreiss, Jeff Green and Tyler Kreiss; and 2 great granddaughters: Cheyanne Blake and Alexis McKinney.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by a granddaughter, Dawn McKinney.
