"Neils William Schmidt, 82, died Friday in a Reno hospital. He was born January 5, 1901, in Orange, California. He moved to the Reno area in 1920, where he was a retired custodian and a member of the Masonic Lodge, 35.
Surviving are his widow, Doris, and son, Vernon, both of Reno; daughter, Luella Ashbaugh of Sparks; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for today at Walton's Funeral Home in Reno. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at Waltons. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery."
