After an extended battle with multi illnesses, Max, surrounded by his loving family, left this world to be with his Lord and Master, Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 1, 2011.
Max was a wonderful loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He served proudly in the United States Navy as an Aviation Electrician for 20 years. With his quick smile and wonderful wit, he was so easy to love.
Preceded in death are his parents, Frank Grosse, Sr., Lenora Grosse, and brother, Billy Grosse.
Left to miss him and grieve are his loving wife, Mona, brother Bobby Grosse, children Richard Grosse, Jr (Tammy), Diana Dunlap (Ray), Stepson John Edge, Jr. (Mary Gayle), Stepdaughter Tere Brewer (Wes), eight grandchildren, fourteen great grand children, and best friend, Douglas Mayne.
Pall Bearers are Douglas Mayne, Chris Hobbs, Travis Hatcher, Luke Edge, Ray Dunlap, and Jack Sanford.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 5, 2011 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. Services will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Graveside committal services with military honors will follow at 12:30 PM at Barrancas National Cemetery aboard NAS Pensacola.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Covenant Hospice, who was so wonderful to Max and his family.
