Florence Sylvia Kennedy Goode, 93, Indianapolis, died peacefully at American Village where she resided. She was born to Roy and Elease Ewing Kennedy on July 17, 1918. She worked domestically, but was later employed at the VA hospital. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and entertaining. Her passions were her husband, children and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Goode in 2004 after 61 years of marriage; and her sister Carrie Robinson. She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia L. Penman (Russell); son, Larry J. Goode (Evangeline); grandchildren, Sharol D. Price and Marques Blackwell; sister, Thelma R. Kennedy; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A procession will lead from the Crown Hill Funeral Home for a cryptside service held at the Pines Mausoleum in Crown Hill Cemetery.
