The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 13, 11:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church with Revs. Cory Burma and Ernest Smith officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Hartman Post 84 Honor Guard. There will be a visitation on Monday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the church with a family prayer service at 10:45 A.M. There will be a private family interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
Eldon Lindeman was born April 15, 1932, in rural Leigh, Nebraska, to John and Alvina (Loseke) Lindeman. Eldon grew up on the farm and attended Christ Lutheran School. On November 20, 1952, Eldon entered the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. After his honorable discharge on September 11, 1954, Eldon returned to the Columbus area and continued farming. On November 3, 1957, Eldon was united in marriage to Donna Schaefer. They continued to farm all their lives in the Columbus area. Eldon was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. and enjoyed restoring Model A cars.
