William Deppe, 59, died at 9:40 p.m Thursday at Waseca Memorial hospital. Deppe had been ill for the past three years. Funeral services were held today at 1 p. m. at St. John's Lutheran church, with the Rev. M. A. Kampfe officiating. Interment was in Woodville cemetery. Pallbearers were Clark Koechel, Herbert Johnson, Arnold Runnerstrom, William Sotebeer, Clare Patten and Leonard Ketchum. Deppe was born May 29, 1896, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Deppe, He married Freida Neils of Otisco on Nov. 25, 1926. His business during his life-time was farming. He came to Waseca in 1916. Surviving him are his wife, and children, Robert, Orville, Gene, Shirley and Barbara Deppe, Mrs. Loren (Betty) Biggerstaff, Minneapolis, and Gladys Sutlief, Waseca. One daughter died in infancy. Brothers and sisters surviving him are Henry Deppe, Otisco; Mrs. Ira Paul of Haverhill, Iowa; Mrs. Roy Waldron, Waterville; Mrs. Fred Nelson, Otisco; half sister, and Ronald Deppe, Otisco, half brother.
