Edgar E. "Jim" Dillon, 76, and Marilou Smith Dillon, 73, husband and wife, of Louisville, died Sunday, November 23, 2003. Mr. Dillon was born in Springfield, OH, and was a 1952 graduate of Wittenberg College, where he was a member of the ATO Fraternity. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, including the campaign at Iwo Jima, and the Korean War and a member of Middletown VFW Post #1170. Mr. Dillon retired from the Treasury Department after 25 years of service as an ATF agent and was a Lutheran by faith. Mrs. Dillon was born in Amarillo, TX. She was a graduate of California State University, Fullerton, and received her master's degree from the University of Louisville. She was a retired teacher for the Jefferson county Public Schools and a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Their survivors include two sons, Thaddeus E. Dillon and Bradley E. Dillon; three daughters, Courtney D. Kiesler, Farryll D. Brown and Elizabeth A. Tufty; and 12 grandchildren, Elizabeth Swasko, Zach Brown, Peter Walker, Alex Dillon, Tess Brown, Ben Brown, Buck Tufty, Rocky Tufty, Brock Kiesler, Nora Kiesler, J. Pierce Kiesler and Augustus Dillon. Mr. Dillon is also survived by a sister, Elaine Myers. Mrs. Dillon is also survived by a brother, Elbert Smith. Local visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd., a family owned and operated funeral home center. Visitation will continue from 2-7 p.m. Friday at Conroy Funeral Home in Springfield, OH. Joint funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Springfield, with burial in Ferncliff Cemetery, also in Springfield. Memorial gifts may be made to Brooklawn Youth Services or St. Joseph's Children's Home.
