Max Schurig Passes Away Sunday Night
Gonzales lost an esteemed citizen in the death of Max Schurig, who passed away at his residence out on the Waelder highway Sunday night, November 23, at 7:15 o'clock.
The news of Mr. Schurig's passing came as a distinct shock to many friends. While a number knew that he was I'll few had any idea that his condition was so serious.
Mr. Schurig was I'll during Fair Week early in October, but was able to be out again and pursuing his regular work, although he had never fully recovered from the effects of his illness. When he was taken I'll again few realized that his condition was so serious.
His illness was pronounced typhoid fever.
