Funeral services were held from the Seydler-Hill Funeral Home Saturday, June 10 at 4 p.m. for B. L. Lawrence, who died in a Gonzales Hospital at 5:31 a.m June 9. The Rev. Howard MacAllister, a retired Methodist minister, officiated at the rites with burial in the Gonzales Masonic cemetery.
Mr. Lawrence was born February 1, 1907, in Wayside, Hays county, to William James and Maude Magdalene Adare Lawrence, natives respectively of Georgia and Hays county.
He was an auto mechanic and rancher and was married to Olivia Emma Frenzel on April 20, 1930 in San Marcos. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the local Masonic Lodge No. 30, member of Alzafar Shrine Temple, York Rite Mason and served during World War II.
