Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Helen Sauer, who died on Sunday in a Waxahachie hospital, will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. The Rev. Walter Lentz will officiate, with interment in Memorial Park.
Mrs. Sauer was born on July 5, 1898 in Shiner, to Fritz and Helen Moeller Hassmon. She was married to August C. Sauer in May of 1921, and lived here, where she was a longtime member of the First Lutheran church. In recent years, she had lived in Richardson, and she was a member of the Hope Lutheran church in Cedar Hill. Her husband preceded her in death on April 4, 1957.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Carl Sauer on Aug. 14, 1979; two brothers and one sister.
