Ernest Frank Koester, 74, of Effingham, Illinois, died 11:20 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 1, 1989) in St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham, Illinois. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Anthony Catholic Church, Effingham, Illinois. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, Illinois, with 7 p.m. rosary. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Effingham, Illinois.
Mr. Koester was born in Effingham, Illinois, son of J. Frank and Mary Koester. He was retired from Fedders Corp. and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He married Rose
Hoene in 1940.
Surviving are his wife, Rose Koester; sons, John, Linus and Leon, all of Effingham, Illinois; David of Teutopolis, Illinois; Stephen of Quincy, Illinois; daughters, Mrs. William (Doris) Bachmeir of North Dakota; Mrs. Duane (Theresa) Walden of Lisle, Illinois; Mrs. Abdul (Marilyn) Farha of Urbana, Illinois; Laura Koester of Sacramento, Caliornia; sisters, Mrs. Paul (Johanna) Braun and Esther Hille, both of Effingham, Illinois; 20
grandchildren.
