Charles J. Sautter, 87, of Howe, IN died Monday, December 16, 2013 at Miller's Merry Manor in LaGrange, IN.
Mr. Sautter was born on February 7, 1926 in LaGrange, IN to Melvin H. and Erma (Pocock) Sautter.
Living his lifetime in LaGrange County, he retired from Ross Lab in Sturgis, MI where he had worked from 1950 until 1985. Mr. Sautter was a member of the Lima Presbyterian Church in Howe, IN and LaGrange American Legion Post #215.
Mr. Sautter was a United States Army Air Corps Veteran having served in World War II.
On January 21, 1950 in Howe, IN he married Kathryn O. Taylor. Mrs. Sautter survives in Howe, IN.
Also surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Steven Knoop of Greenfield, IN; a son and daughter-in-law, Melvin P. and Anita Sautter of North Manchester, IN; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lucille Oliver and a brother, Virgil M. Sautter.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange, IN, Rev. David Hughes will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Howe, IN.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 3-6 pm at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Lima Presbyterian Church.
